Steeped 5 grams in 125 ml pot using 90 to 95 C water.

20 sec / 20 sec / 25 sec / 40 sec / 1 min / 2 min /4 min

Wonderful honey and blueberry taste and aromas. Mild muscat notes reminiscent of second flush insect bitten darjeeling.  Slight astringency at back of throat. As liquid cools, there is more acidity. Acidity is tempered using lower temp water. 

Body is relatively light. May benefit from clay.

Leaves: more than 1/3 appear broken, possibly during rolling process. Very little evidence of insect bites, which are required for this genre of tea.

Had very good flavor for 5 steepings before tapering off.

Karigane tea from Tsuen sourced by o-cha. 2020 first flush  Contains blend of sencha leaves and gyokuro stems from Uji. Bai Mu Dan white tea

3-5 years old in the tin. Leaves are a bit green, so likely not top quality. But plenty of white hair in tin 7 gram Low temperature western style: 400 mL at 75 C Steep 1 : 10 min Steep 2: 20 min Honey, incense, and damp forest floor. Subtle scent of rose. Has an aged quality with some old vinegary notes reminiscent of cellared Geuze beer. This likely the classical umami taste expected for this tea. Almost no astringency. Medium to heavy body.

 Cannot identify every tea. For both shou and sheng brewed ~ 5g / 100 mL, 2x rinse and then for sheng: flash brew until no more flavor followed by longer brews. For shou, first brew is about 30s followed by flash brews. 2019 brown sugar: white2tea makes a brown sugar. Very sweet with caramel, molasses and red bean notes. No wodui.  2019 raw man zhuang: possibly from ys. Very floral. Brew 3g/85 mL.  Fruity, floral.  Lively..beautiful at first...then funeral, sickly abominable. "brick shou":  Not much more info than that. I suspect it is the 2018 Dragon Brick, a shou puerh brick from XiZiHao, since that is the only brick shou he sells.  Tastes different from all other shous i have had: subtle balance between herbal chinese med2icine, light incense, fresh plum, strawberry jam, earthy minerality and beef bone broth. There is also a floral aroma like acacia and jasmine. The aromas and flavors shift as steepings progress. Infusions are very clear and elegant even...
